Went to my first life drawing session today hosted by local artist Gary Pound

Was really nice, and not much surprised me, but the best thing i took away from it is why people say life drawing is better. it's like... When you're there, you're there, the model is on a clock and you have nothing to distract you. I dont get up every five minutes to check this or that stupid thing on the internet, just draw and its great!
Definitely gonna go back more often, being surrounded by this dudes work was really inspiring and kinda made a lot of stuff feel "real." Sitting in my room all these years, it really makes you wonder if alot of this stuff is real like real professionals and even nude figure drawing. But ya was enriching, highly recommend, even if the rest of the class are a buncha old people who can't draw for shit, which will probably be the case ;P
He had us do contour drawings without lifting the pencil, and blind contours, as well as standard gestures. I really wonder about the value in those things, like blind contour; it seems a debatable subject, but i did notice i thought differently about the continuous contours. This dudes great so, im sure there's at least something to it haha
